The Wasco Brothers: Home
Welcome to the Wasco Brothers home. The Wasco Brothers roots are in Eastern Oregon. As kids, things were pretty good until Mama ran off with that steel guitar player. That broke Daddy Wasco’s heart and he beat up his parole officer and had to go back to prison. They sent little Ricky Bob down to Lubbock, TX where he lived with a family that sold tumbleweed Christmas trees. Little Jeff was sent to Austin, TX where he got a job with Junior’s Modeling Agency as a clown nose model. Sid was sent off to Lousiana where he got a job as a bait tester on a shrimp boat. Little Larry had to go to Estacada, OR where he started an after school business pouring concrete. Then, at night he played ukulele in a strip joint. But that’s all behind us now and we’re back together playing our kind of music which sounds kind of like Ray Price sitting in with Elvis Costello's band.
